Well, after switching the CR-48 to Ubuntu 12.04, which kinda got me warmed up to the idea of using Unity on Arch (poor decision in after thought), I'm now moving the CR-48 from Ubuntu 12.04 to Xubuntu 12.04.
Why Xubuntu? When it comes to desktop environments, xfce is pretty high on my list of favorites, and Unity was starting to become a bit of a drag. Yes, it's pretty, but that's about all it has going for it.
The CR-48 isn't the most underpowered machine ever, but compared to any computer I would ever consider purchasing for more than $100, the processor kinda sucks. Unity is a bit of a processor hog, which made the experience slower than necessary (yes, compared to previous version of Unity, it was faster).
Plus Xubuntu is kinda made for lower-end computers. Yes, Lubuntu wants to take that spot, but Lubuntu uses LXDE, which is the ugliest desktop environment I've ever seen.
